When we visited the school to observe a speech contest before enrolling our daughter, we were impressed by the emphasis on presentation as well as English, and decided to enroll her. After enrolling, we found that the weekly classes, such as lunch cooking and extracurricular classes, are very well organized, and she always enjoys attending them. She also has many opportunities to present her English through book readings and speeches, and I can see how her English is improving. The teachers are very supportive and I can leave the school in good hands.

I returned from the U.S. when I was 4 years old and was looking for a school to help me maintain my English. I received a call about an opening for a Saturday class and started attending. The lessons are fun and playful, using materials and cards used by native English speakers, so my child never gets bored. The lessons are slow and not crammed like other schools, but the homework is done in a reasonable amount of time, and everyone enjoys competing with each other. The materials always come with a CD, so parents can follow along and look back and read the material again. The monthly events such as cooking and field trips are also very attractive.

I joined KG class in the middle of the year and have been attending Saturday class since the third grade of elementary school. We chose KEC because there are two teachers, a foreign teacher and a Japanese teacher, and we have plenty of time to experience English. Not only do they make the lessons fun and easy to understand for the children, but they also challenge the children to do things that are a little more difficult so that they can improve their English skills. He also enjoys the Saturday class because he likes to play BB card memory games and outside games.

When I decided to have my child learn English, I thought that a typical 50-minute English school would not work…so I started looking for a class on the Internet. I had been interested in immersion education for a long time, and that was a big factor. The most attractive point of this school is that students can experience school life. The classes are diverse and include lunch, cooking, and even crafts such as making a model of an astronomical body. I am very impressed by the fact that she is learning what I tried so hard to learn when I was in junior high school, but she is now confident that she can do it better than other students who are also learning English at school.

After attending KIS for three years, I decided that it would be best for me to continue learning English in an environment that I was familiar with, so I enrolled. Although I entered an elementary school in Nui that focused on English education, I had few opportunities to spend many hours exclusively in English, and the school has been very helpful in filling in the gaps in my school education. The Saturday class, like KIS, is designed to help students learn English in a more natural way. There are many events and the students seem to enjoy attending. Also, the homework is very well supervised, and my son’s writing skills have improved a lot thanks to the English diary. My son, who could not even write lowercase letters properly, has grown to be able to write English sentences on his own in about six months. He has also challenged himself to take the Eiken test and loves English more and more, so I am looking forward to seeing his future growth.

I have been sending my children to the school because I am attracted to the fact that they think, try, reflect, and present by themselves through various theme activities in English. At the school, they are able to broaden their perspectives through the different ideas of their friends, and they are stimulated and motivated by the feedback (mainly praise) they receive from their teachers. The teaching materials are also excellent, and I am especially grateful for the writing classes, as they help students develop logical writing skills that are difficult to develop at elementary schools in Japan. In addition to classes, there are various events where English is used, and the presentation contest gave me the experience of giving a presentation on a big stage. I am grateful to see their faces full of a sense of accomplishment after they were nervous and overcame the difficulties. I believe that this school is a place for comprehensive learning, not only for improving English skills, of course, but also for other purposes.

We returned from the UK before entering elementary school and started online English conversation classes. However, she found the lessons monotonous and boring, so she decided to take a Saturday class, which is similar to a local school. Although she is not good at public speaking, she was given a chance to participate in a presentation contest, and it was a great experience for her to practice daily for the day and to be on stage. I am very grateful for the guidance of the teachers who assessed my daughter’s personality and English level. I hope she will continue to expand her world through English.

I returned from the U.S. when I was 6 years old, and KEC was the closest environment to a local school. I find it very appealing to be able to experience real-life English not only through study but also through cooking, field trips, and other activities. The teachers have a great attitude of having fun together with us, and sometimes they are strict with us, which makes the class atmosphere very lively and enjoyable. My child looks forward to the class every week. The presentation contest was a great experience for my child, as we practiced together as parent and child, and it helped him gain confidence. It is difficult to maintain and improve English skills in a Japanese environment, but I hope that my child will continue to learn English through KEC.
