Teacher testimonials about working for Education Network and living in Japan
I started working for Education Network in 2011 and it was the best decision I had ever made. I had come to Japan to further my profession as an educator. Coming from the states and moving into a country that was away from anything I had ever been familiar with, the staff made me feel very welcomed! I never imagined that over the first few months, I would build long last friendships with my colleagues and create a family away from home. From finding a place to live, to navigating my way around the city, to even learning how to cook Japanese food, everyone was very genuinely supportive and loving-even before I had entered the country!
The experience that I made living in another country is something that I believe everyone should take the opportunity to pursue. I’ve learned so much about myself, the differences in cultures, and the blessings to travel in and outside of Japan. To this day, I currently still contact everyone at KIS/KEC and knowing that I have left Japan with so much growth, I am glad to know that Japan will always be my second home.
To all the wonderful friends at Education Network, thank you for everything you’ve done! I love and miss you all very much!
