Teacher testimonials about working for Education Network and living in Japan
As a teacher, I always wanted to experience how it was like to teach in another country other than the United Stares of America. Little did I know, I was blessed with the opportunity to do this in Japan.
I had the privilege of teaching at Education Network as a Kids International School teacher for 2 years. There, I was able to grow professionally and have a love for the country. Everyone who worked at the company both the Japanese and foreign teachers collaborated as a team to make learning for all students fun and memorable. Families valued their relationships with the teachers, and learning was seen as an importance within the home. It was very encouraging to see how much parents cared about their child’s academic growth.
During my first year, I was in the process of finishing my Masters degree. The directors, administrative team, and my colleagues supported me with encouragements and took on more roles when I would be up late the night before writing an essay and was feeling overwhelmed the next day when I had to teach. When I was eager to explore Japan, my co-workers helped planned the trip with me and graciously opened up their homes or places for me to stay. I didn’t have to worry about paying for any room and board just the transportation and the yummy food. This is the love you will experience working at Education Network.
When I returned to the U.S, my friends and family would ask me about my experience in Japan. The only thing I could tell them was “I have a special place in my heart for Japan and it is always my second home.”
